Proteomics at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna
View Page | Edit Page | Details

The Proteomics Unit as part of the VetCORE Facility for Research at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna provides researchers with equipment and know-how for protein identification and relative protein quantitation by mass spectrometry. Shotgun identification of complex samples and quantitation are performed with a Q-TOF high resolution mass spectrometer (TripleTOF 5600, Sciex) coupled to a nanoLC system (Ultimate 3000 RSLC, Dionex). For identification of 2D gel spots a MALDI-TOF-TOF instrument (Ultraflex II, Bruker) is used. Additionally, a spotter (Probot, Dionex) is available for special applications like DeNovo-Sequencing with LC-MALDI.
